Getting There

The closest airport to Alibaug is Mumbai. It is 105 km from Mumbai, which equals to a 3 hour drive. Another way to get here, which a lot of people prefer is through Mandwa by sea. For this, you will need to get to Gateway of India at Churchgate. There are regular ferries, for a very nominal amount. The average time taken by boat is about 45 mins and another 30 mins from mandwa to Radisson, alibaug. Another option is to hire a speedboat, which would reduce your travel time to half of the original time taken.

The Venues

Radisson is one huge property which has gorgeous venues. The best part is each venue is different from the other. In case of destination weddings this factor is extremely important as you want your guests to have a different feel and experience for different events. Lets take a look at the different venues:

Chancellor & Courtyard

Chancellor is an indoor banquet which can easily hold upto 100-150 people. It has an attached pre function area which can be used for high tea, snacks etc. Courtyard is an open air area which can again hold a similar number of people. The combination of both these venues is a perfect setting for a mehendi ceremony. The outdoor can be beautifully decorated with bright colours while the indoor décor can be minimalistic and elegant. It gives the guest the best of both the experiences.

Mango Deck

This place is a favourite with wedding planners and all the guests. It is beautifully designed at the heart of the property. This venue is surrounded by a lovely water body an all sides. There is a small bridge connecting the venue to the property. This bridge is used for Jai Mala since it is an elevated platform by itself, so perfect visibility for the couple. Also, some great clicks can be captured here.

Greens like the name says is a beautiful lawn which is maintained to its highest standards. It is a huge venue which can accommodate about 1000+ people. It is surrounded by trees on all sides which adds to its beauty. This area is used for Sangeet, Wedding Reception etc. Huge set ups can be done here and this place is an epitome of what a Big Fat Indian Wedding would look like

Spice Market

Spice market is another open air venue. It is adjacent to the massive swimming pool. This place is ideal to hold a sit down setting. If throwing a pool party this area can be used for barbeque brunch, entertainment, food stalls etc  It can easily accommodate 500+ people.

Piano lounge & Razz Matazz

The beautiful architecture of this place is enough to give you a high. The piano lounge has a very English look and defines luxury at its best. It’s a beautiful place to unwind and relax. The magical sound of the piano is sure to make your day better.  Located on the upper floor this place has a beautifully designed bar (Razz Matazz). It also has an amazing dance floor which wouldn’t let you stop till you drop. A designated area for a DJ, this bar will give you some serious drinking and dancing goals.

Food is one major reason why Radisson Blu, Alibaug hosts so many weddings in a year. They are perfectionist when it comes to their food. Their food is lip smacking. Food like we all know, is a very important component of an Indian Wedding. They serve almost all types of cuisines which include the popular one like Indian, Oriental, Mediterranean, Continental etc

Our take

This is one place we strongly recommend if you are looking for destination weddings close to Mumbai. If you are looking at Mumbai as a destination then we strongly advise to give this place a thought because of its close proximity to Mumbai. The staff is excellent, their service is great and they are warm and welcoming. This in true sense will feel like home for the duration of your event. They make every effort to leave no stone unturned to make it memorable for you. As wedding planners we look for wedding venues with such efficiency and this one certainly tops the charts.
