Fort Jadhavgadh belonged to Pilaji Jadhavrao. He was the Maratha general in the army of Chhatrapati Shahuji, grandson of the Great Chhatrapati Shivaji. Pilaji Jadhavrao played a vital role in bringing back the lost glory of the Maratha Empire and recapture the region from the Mughals.
